Nina and her friends guide children through each lesson, modeling emotions, coping strategies, and problem-solving in ways that feel relatable and safe. Through their stories, children learn they are not alone and that their feelings are valid and manageable.

  • Muna shows children how to use calming belly breathing to feel peaceful inside.

  • Deshun teaches ways to let go of negative thoughts and welcome positive ones.

  • Chantha introduces yoga and mindfulness to stretch, relax, and focus.

  • Trinity encourages positive affirmations and gratitude to build confidence and joy.

  • Laura helps children face fears step by step so they feel brave and strong.

  • Ray guides journaling and talking as healthy ways to share feelings and find calm.

  • Michael shares guided imagery to manage big emotions through imagination.

  • Melody brings singing and humming as playful tools to relax the mind and lift the spirit.

The characters throughout the curriculum are inspired by the loved ones in my life, from family to friends, making each story heartfelt, relatable, and rooted in real connection.

Deshun, Ray, and Nina are my children, and it brought me so much joy to create a course with them at the heart of it. Their stories, personalities, and real-life experiences helped shape each lesson, making the program warm, authentic, and relatable for every family.

Together, Nina and her friends turn learning into an adventure that builds confidence, calm, and joy. Thank you for being part of this journey to create a world where every child feels loved, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.

Nina’s Coping Toolbox Curriculum grew from a collection of children’s books created to help children understand their feelings, build resilience, and thrive beyond adversity.
